November 4, 2023. Beijing, China - The Second OpenHarmony Technology Conference, hosted by the Technical Steering Committee (TSC) of the OpenAtom Foundation, was held at the National Convention Center in Beijing. As a partner in the OpenHarmony ecosystem and one of the nine members of the Financial Payment Committee, NEXGO was invited to participate in this prestigious event.
Under the theme "Building Ecosystems with Technology, Connecting for a Winning Future," the conference brought together global leaders in open-source operating systems, industry experts, academic mentors, and numerous developers and contributors. Attendees shared insights on technological innovations and progress in ecosystem co-construction for the OpenHarmony operating system, discussed industry policy directions, and explored the annual advancements in the "Top Ten Technical Challenges for Terminal Operating Systems."
As a leading electronic payment service provider, NEXGO has identified commercial development based on OpenHarmony as a key strategic focus. The company is actively involved in the ecological development of the financial industry within the OpenHarmony framework, promoting technological research and the development of terminal products based on the OpenHarmony operating system. In January 2023, NEXGO signed a cooperation agreement to enable the OpenHarmony ecosystem, resulting in in-depth collaboration in research and development and applications. This partnership has led to the launch of several financial commercial devices that have passed OpenHarmony compatibility testing, including the integrated payment cloud speaker KD58 and the Caishen Cloud Flash Payment Terminal KD60.
During the conference, NEXGO showcased the N82 lightweight smart POS machine, the first domestically developed "financial terminal operating system" based on OpenHarmony. This project is built on financial security standards, establishing a payment system framework and enhancing information identification and collection services while meeting UPTS security certification requirements. Additionally, the project aims to refine industry standards and open-source practices throughout its development. The successful implementation of this project will unify and fully localize the financial terminal operating system, overcoming the challenges of reliance on core technologies and breaking the long-standing dominance of Android and Windows in the financial terminal operating system space. Enhanced financial-grade security and exceptional performance are expected to reach international leading standards.
Looking ahead, XGD INC. is committed to aligning with national strategic needs, adhering to the principles of independent innovation, and continuously addressing the demands of the financial technology sector. The company will pursue ongoing technological innovation and ecosystem development, actively embrace open-source initiatives, and promote the localization of software and hardware for financial payment terminals. By contributing to the development of the OpenHarmony ecosystem, XGD INC. aims to advance domestic foundational software technology and the digital economy, supporting the acceleration of the nation's digital transformation.
